January 2015 Favourites – Most Played

I missed Team Most Played December appointment because I published Kenderasia’s Beauty Awards 2014 instead. However I didn’ use a lot of make up during holidays, mostly because I stayed at home with my family.

But now let’s restart this new year with this January 2015 Favourites – Most Played make up products.

Recently I changed my make up base almost daily so I didn’t include any in this month’s post. I enjoyed some new products and some oldies for my eyes and lips and I alternated them constantly.

January 2015 Favourites – Most Played

Basically in January I usually feel to get rid of winter greyness. I do take care of my skincare regimen but some make up products help to reduce dull skin. For achieving this result I always rely on T.Leclerc Loose Powder in Orchidée. T.Leclerc powders are colour correcting powders, matte and with a decent coverage. I love their vintage packaging and their notoriety in make up history. Orchidée is a bright cool pink powder which works as a well-resting veil. It contrasts yellow pigments so skintones with a yellow undertone will enjoy it a lot. Be careful if you already have a cool pink skintone and if you’re very pale because it is extremely pigmented. I used it only with a poorly dense brush in a diffused way on those areas I want to highlight. Say goodbye to dull and tire face!

Talking about colour correction I am in love with Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Youth Boosting Dark Circle Corrector + Concealer*. The corrector tip is a enlighting yellow which works wonderfully on my dark circles illuminating the entire area.

January 2015 Favourites – Most Played

On my eyes I used a lot Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. It is a handy, useful neutral palette with good transition shades plus a highlighting one. At first it seemed to me the most perfect neutral palette ever but recently I started noticing all its minus: basically it is quite powdery. But I’ll talk about this in a specific review.

I bought this NARS Duo Eyeshadow in Eurydice during Sephora‘s sales. I think they’re going to discontinue this product. I’m very sad if it is true because even it NARS eyeshadows don’t have the most terrific pigmentation they’re all amazing colour combinations. Eurydice is one of the most beautifule one. There are two complex, duochrome eyeshadows perfect for unconventional smoly eyes. Colour payoff is really good but they are amazing over a dark base to bring out all reflects. One colour has a plummy – rusty base with a cool purple duochrome. The other one is a charcoal with greenish reflects.

As eyeliner I’m still loving Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Precision Glide Eyeliner*. My favourite colour of the bunch is Java. I’ve never thought that a brown eyeliner could be so beautiful. They have a great colour payoff even on the waterline and they last all day.

On my lips I went for pink. There were days when I wanted only a subtle, tender, sheer pink shade and I used NARS lipgloss in Turkish Delight*. Then there were days when I want a playful, joyful springful look and new MAC Cosmetics Viva Glam Miley Cyrus* is perfect for that mood.
