January 2014 Beauty Favourites
Last month I missed my monthly post about Beauty Favourites because I wrote my Beauty Awards: Best of Make up 2013, but now it’s time to start again the monthly Most Played series with my January 2014 Beauty Favourites.
January is a bit gloomy month for my mood: holidays definitely come to an end, spring is still far away and it seems you have to start anything over again. January’s pros? Sales of course! And spring summer previews, aren’t you excited about all those MAC collections to come? 😀
Let’s see in detail my January 2014 Beauty Favourites. you may remember from my Perfect Palette Tag that Urban Decay Naked 2 palette is my least used palette: too many grey shades (grey doesn’t suit me well) and cool tones. I simply usually reach for other palettes in my stash. But now I want to use it a little more, I want to finish it. It’s a kind of my personal battle, LOL.
Another remarkable fact is my love for Laura Mercier, as you can see. I love pretty anything in their range.
And what about lips? Berry, berry, berry.
January 2014 Beauty Favourites
- Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation in Soft Ivory: one of my favourite foundation ever, read my review.
- Laura Mercier Radiance Primer: I like to use it under matte, high coverage foundation to avoid the cakey effect and a more youthful look.
- Too Faced Primed and Poreless Powder: now I understand why everyone seems to love this powder, it gives you a silky, perfect skin!
- MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium: I use it in a darker shade than my skintone as a light, warming up contour effect. Love it! Can’t wait to purchase it in Light as well!
- MAC Minerlize Concealer in NW20: it’s maybe a bit darker (I’m N15) but I always fear that light pink concealer turn grey when used over dark circles. It’s an amazing concealer: covers well and it moisturizes skin.
- Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Powder Pink: it’s a bright pink (not really powder…) that looks very natural; really blendable and lasts a whole day.
- Laura Mercier Brow Pencil in Warm Brunette: my everyday go-to brow product.
- Laura Mercier Longwear Crème Eye Pencil in Noir*: doesn’t smudge and last perfect even on the waterline.
- Urban Decay Naked 2: as I said I want to finish it!
- Wjcon Pulpy Mat: I’m really surprised about the quality: it has opaque and matte coverage without drying out lips.
- Laura Mercier Weightless Lip Colour in Sin*: I can’t say how much I love this lipsticks. It’s sheer but buildable to achieve the perfect berry lips ever.
- MAC Lipglass Viva Glam I*: one of the fewest gloss I love, it’s a deep red, quite oxblood.
Anch’io sono nc15 ma come copriocchiaie mi hanno sempre dato nw20, e pensavo fosse x compensare un po’ una discromia bianca che ho sotto un occhio.
La MSF io l’ho presa in Light+ da usare su tutto il viso, perchè la Light è davvero chiarissima, sicuramente meno di un nc15.
Anche a me quei matitoni di Wjcon sono piaciuti un sacco: ne ho presi 4, ehm…

Il correttore mineralize lo voglio!! l’ha usato su di me Michele Magnani da Mac e mi è piaciuto molto.. però prima devo finire il mio studio finish che uso per le occhiaie!! e il lipglass viva glam 1 l’ho anche io, è un colore bellissimo.

di Laura Mercier mi piacerebbe provare qualcosina, ho varie idee ma non ho ancora avuto modo di ri-mettere piede in una Coin che esponga il brand, quella della mia città non ce l’ha D:
Misato sììì con il 20% di dicembre o novembre, non ricordo di preciso, ed è diventata la mia cipria del cuore quando voglio l’effetto matte vellutato (mi piace molto di più della hollywood).
di LM le cose per la base sono fenomenali, ma fossi in te darei un’occhiata agli eyeliner in gel colorati 😉

la Hollywood la utilizzo per tutti i giorni (costa anche meno e insomma… XD), però per grandi occasioni/se sono in giro mi porto direttamente la Too Faced.
è stata una scoperta…

Misato Canard era uno spettacolo ma anche il viola elettrico!
