Mac Strength: Haul, Swatches, Reviews
Hi! Finally, it’s time to show you my goodies from Mac Strength collection which is arrived here in Italy lately.
I took some photos in the store, so you can see the Strength display and some swatches. I’m sorry for bad lightning but there was a strong sun exposion direct on products.
So, unfortunately some lipsticks were already sold out (luckly I had pre-ordered Party Parrot!), and one tester had been stolen… but all I can say is that Firm Form is really, really gorgeous.
Blushes, Taupe Shape and Poised, are both nice, perfect for a light contour/blush at the same time.
Quads are all neutral based, perfect for soft looks or smoky eyes. Inner Strength is cool toned but has a really poor colour payoff. All woman is warmer and has a better colour payoff, colours are interesting too, if you lack some neutrals in your stash thisis a good choice.
So, my picks are lipstick Party Parrot and Taupe Shape Blush.
I have to admit, I added another contour thing to my stash before I’ve been taught that my face doesn’t need contour. Oh well, a bit on my forehead for nights out is right.
By the way, Taupe Shape is a great choice for fair to light skins. It is well pigmented but it’s a light, soft colours that re-creates natural shadows on face. It’s not matte since it has Satin finish but on me it’s not shimmery; it has only a sheen which I find really nice on my fair skin because it’s softer and more natural than a strong colour. It defines features in a natural way, wtihout being too obvious. Here you can also see Taupe Shape compared to Mac Strada.
Party Parrot is my new love. I wanted it from last year but it was sold out everywhere… It is a really warm reddish coral – fuchsia. Some say it’s the Impassioned’s matte version. I’m absolutely in love with Mac matte lispsticks: they last perfect, even after meals and drinking, until you remove them.
Here you can see Party Parrot compared to Moxie from By Request collection. As you can see Party Parrot is a lot warmer than Moxie so I don’t see them as dupes.
