Spring 2015 Skincare Routine
Right now I’m pretty obsessed with skincare. Maybe because I managed to clarity what type my skin is and I’m focused on perfectioning my skincare routine. So, these days I’m slowly changing something in my beauty regimen. I only reveal in advance that I’m changing towards an Oriental concept of skincare routine, taking inspiration from infamous 10 steps Korean skincare routine, but I’ll write something about this topic asap. I wanted to write this post about my Spring 2015 Skincare Routine aka the products I’ve been using since February until now before I radically change my skincare routine before Summer.
So, this is my Spring 2015 Skincare Routine so far.
As you can see it’s not really complex even if not so basic. I found out that my skin is not combination but dehydrated, even if it’s still acne prone. A real mess, since I have to pay attention to hydrate without using ingredients that may cause acne breakouts.
Morning Spring 2015 Skincare Routine
I always start with cleansing: I’m still using Jurlique Repleneshing Foaming Cleanser (not in picture) and I insist on troubled areas and enlarged pores with this miraculous little tool, Mizuho Shaku Cleansing Brush* (here my review).
After rinsing off and dabbing my skin with a tissue, I apply a serum. Right now I’m using Italian brand Biofficina Toscana Siero Viso Antiossidante (Antioxidant Facial Serum). It’s really moisturizing and rich with good completely organic active ingredients. Rich in Hyaluronic Acid it is supposed to provide an anti-ageing effect.
Here it is complete ingredients:
Aqua [Water], Glycerin, Propanediol, Hydrolyzed grape fruit, Hydrolyzed olive fruit, Sodium hyaluronate, Ribes nigrum (Black currant) fruit extract, Rubus idaeus (Raspberry) fruit extract, Vaccinium myrtillus fruit/leaf extract, Vitis vinifera (Grape) leaf extract, Bisabolol, Tocopherol, Xanthan gum, Betaine, Coco-glucoside, Decyl glucoside, Benzyl alcohol, Glyceryl oleate, Benzoic acid, Dicaprylyl ether, Parfum [Fragrance], Dehydroacetic acid, Sodium hydroxide, Hexyl cinnamal, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde, Hydroxycitronellal, Citronellol.
It’s a bit sticky so I have to wait a couple of minutes to apply other products.
I’m still loyal to my beloved Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream. With its 30g contenance it’s close to infinite life span. It nourishes deeply my eye area and it really reduced my fine lines.
As a daily moisturizer I’m using new L’Occitane Pivoine Flora Perfecting Cream* (I presented the entire range here). Its texture is really pleasant, like a pudding jelly. It’s rich and still fresh. It’s not heavy at all, so I’d suggest it for normal to combination skin. It absorbs into skin immediately and it doesn’t leave any unpleasant greasy residual. It is supposed to protect and perfection skin. It leaves my skin silky and well rested.
Now it’s time for sunscreen. From the same range as above I’m using L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime Tinted Lip Balm in Rose Nude with SPF25*. I don’t know why but I have drier lips during Spring Summer than during Winter, maybe because I’m really sensitive towards UV rays. This lip balm leaves my lips protected for several hours. As facial sunscreen I’m still in love with La Roche Posay Anthelios XL Ultra Light Fluid with SPF50+. It’s simply perfect: not greasy, it doesn’t leave a white cast, it’s perfect as a make up base and provides maximum protection throughout the day.
Night Spring 2015 Skincare Routine
As for night Spring 2015 Skincare Routine I repeat the same cleansing procedure as above, even if I’m looking for a good cleanser oil for the so called double cleansing method.
Then I use another facial serum from Biofficina Toscana, but this time is more like a beauty fluid treatment. Do you know all those overnight facial oils? Biofficina Toscana Siero Viso Rigenerante (Restoring Facial Serum) does the same thing at a super low price (only around €13) with all organics ingredients:
Vitis vinifera seed oil, Squalane, Oryza sativa bran oil, Sesamum indicum oil, Helianthus annuus seed oil, Ethylhexyl stearate, Dicaprylyl ether, Bisabolol, Salvia officinalis oil, Linalyl acetate
Luckly it doesn’t break me out, but I spent several years to find out which ingredients I’m sensitive to. I only need two drops to cover my entire face. I massage it until well absorbed.
After a couple of minutes I apply my favourite treatment: La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +, the most effective treatment I’ve tried so far for imperfections and clogged pores. It does contain chemical exfoliating agents which are photosensitive so I apply it only at night.
