I’m using Clarisonic Mia* since past winter and now, after some months, I am ready to tell you something about it. Plus, these days we’re getting Clarisonic here in Italy at Sephora‘s, finally.
Clarisonic Mia* is a skin cleaning system which replace traditional manual cleansing. It uses a patented sonic frequency of more than 300 movements per second to gently, yet thoroughly removes makeup 6X better than cleansing with your hands alone.
These are Clarisonic Sonic Skin Cleansing System benefits, according to brand’s site:
- Removes makeup 6X better than manual cleansing
- Leaves skin feeling and looking smoother
- Removes impurities that keep creams and serums from working their best
- Gentle enough to use twice a day
- Reduces oily areas, dry skin patches and blemishes
- Minimizes the appearance of visible pores
You can choose among 5 Clarisonic Systems; I chose the cheaper one, Clarisonic Mia* because I find that it’s perfect for my needs and I didn’t want to splurge more. It is small and perfect for travelling, with one speed and it’s waterproof.
With the kit you get:
- Clarisonic Mia
- Voltage Charger (I had to buy a power adaptor since I bought mine in UK)
- Sensitive Brush Head
- 1 oz. trial size Refreshing Gel Cleanser
Prior to the first use, you have to charge your Clarisonic Mia* for 24 hours. Then, wet your sking with warm water, apply a bit of cleanser (you don’t have to use exclusive Clarisonic cleanser) and gently move the Clarisonic brush with small, circular motion. Use on forehead, nose, chin, and both cheeks for a 60 seconds. Then rinse with cool water.
I used it almost every day and what can I say is that my skin is a lot smoother and cleaner in depth; my pores are smaller and refined and fine lines are disappeared (I’m only 28 though). It can’t heal acne prone skin, because it’s not a miracle and it doesn’t effect inner causes but it heals acne’s effects on skin, even little scars. I can’t remember my skin as good as from using Clarisonic so I can’t live without it, really! Plus, I have a very sensitive skin but it is incredibly gentle so I can use it twice a day.
Maintenance is pretty simple: clean it very well removing the brush head once a weak and let it dry carefully. You’d have to replace brush head every three months. You can choose among 5 brush heads (next time I think I’ll try Deep Pore Cleansing) plus a body brush head (matches only Clarisonic Plus).
Price is high, I know; but I think it’s a really good investment for a good looking skin. However I bought mine onFeelunique *during sales, so it was a good deal (30% off).
